Municipalities across the country are in great need of effective financial strategies to help raise revenues for growth and development that help offset the decline in federal funding and block grants. We frequently assist local governments in creating a Comprehensive Financial Plan (CFP) that establishes creative and cooperative financing that is required in today’s tight government budgets. A CFP is created in conjunction with, or as a supplement to, a local government’s overall comprehensive use plan. Simply put, it is a community’s money plan that incorporates a variety of municipal financing tools needed to fund the uses outlined in the comprehensive use plan.
